AP Wigs was founded by Tehran- born Ali Pirzadeh, a prominent hair stylist with more than a decade of experience in the fashion industry. Inspired by his sister’s career in hairdressing, Ali attended beauty school in Stockholm, Sweden from the age of 16.

His exceptional craft has earned him numerous distinctions, the most prestigious of which the 'ELLE Hairstylist of The Year' title, awarded to him in 2012 and 2016. For nearly a decade, London has been Ali's home, where he is represented by the internationally renowned creative agency CLM.
Ali’s work is regularly published in the pages of Vogue (IT, GB, DE, RU, JP, CHN, ES, NL), W Magazine, Dazed, Numero, Harper’s Bazaar, Document Journal, Porter, ELLE, 10 Magazine, Muse, 25 Magazine.
Through the years he has worked with photographers such as Camilla Åkrans, Venetia Scott, Mariano Vivanco, Emma Tempest, Liz Collins, Marcus Ohlsson and Miles Aldridge, to name a few. Internationally, his clients include Rosie Huntington- Whiteley, Lykke Li, Lily Allen, Cara Delevingne, Cheryl Cole, Florence Welch, Noomi Rapace, Rosamund Pike & Brie Larson, among others.
After relocating to London, Ali extended his expertise by specialising in wig making. The love for his craft inspired him to start AP Wigs, a platform through which he could provide his clients handmade quality units made out of the finest Peruvian hair. The mission of AP Wigs is to provide vibrant colours, undetectable hairlines and intricately crafted weight distribution, creating units with a natural feel and uninhibited movement.
An important part of AP Wigs’ purpose is to reinforce sisterhood. That is why AP Wigs donates every fifth unit to charity. This way, customers purchasing units contribute in making a difference and support fellow sisters experiencing medical hair loss.
